About Rough Country Cowboys
Rayshel has dedicated 15 years of her life to serving has a Paramedic, a profession that demands resilience, quick thinking, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. Her husband, Ryan, has spent most of his life working in the oil fields, bringing his own brand of grit and determination to their shared endeavours. Together, they are the powerhouse behind Rough Country Cowboys, a brand that captures the rugged, outlaw spirit of the western world.
THE BIRTH OF ROUGH COUNTRY COWBOYS
RCC was born out of Rayshel’s personal frustration with the lack of gritty style clothing, mainly the women’s rodeo shirts that all fit like men’s that make women look like a box. Flattering fitted rodeo shirts are
not a thing on the western market. A lifelong designer/creator at heart, she decided to transform her hobby into a business, creating clothing that not only met her own style needs but also resonated with a broader audience. What started has a personal project shared with only family and friends quickly garnered enthusiastic support, encouraging Rayshel and Ryan to take their
designs to the public market.
WESTERN ROOTS
Rayshel and Ryan’s connection to the western culture living in the acreage life profoundly influences their brand. Growing up in the country, they both have a background in rodeo and horses. Their shared experiences imbue their designs with authenticity and a true western spirit that sets RCC apart from others in the industry.
MILESTONES AND VISION
A significant milestone for RCC was a successful transition from a private family-and-friends brand to a public-facing business. This leap was fuelled by the encouragement and support for their close-knit community, propelling the brand into the broader market.
Established in the Foothills of Alberta, RCC started has a husband and wife team working from their home studio. Rayshel personally designs and creates each piece, ensuring that every item reflects the unique
style and rugged quality that their brand stands for.
THE FUTURE
Rayshel and Ryan have big dreams for RCC. They envision their unique style of western wear reaching a larger audience of fellow cowboys and cowgirls. With their combined skills, passion for design, they are committed to making RCC a staple in the wardrobes of those who appreciate authentic, Canadian made, rugged western wear.
